The Under Armour All-American from Cullman Senior High School (Alabama) has taken only one other official visit—Louisville.

His decision is between Clemson and Auburn.

"I said this early. I'm going to sign on signing day. More than likely, if I commit anywhere, it'll be silent," Region told CUTigers. "I'm not going to go public until signing day, February second."

He originally committed to Auburn in February of last year. By May, he was no longer on the Tigers' commitment board.

Once his senior year was underway, Region wanted to focus on Cullman.

"I felt like my recruitment kind of got me stressed out, early," he said. "I put it on the backburner and committed to my teammates."
Scout.com three-star guard called Clemson defensive backs coach Charlie Harbison, who recruits in the state of Alabama, sometime after his senior season.

"Now that I'm back available, they jumped right on me. Coach Harbison said they were going to come at me big time. I'm excited about the opportunity to play at Clemson," Region said.

The Tigers from the ACC expressed interest sometime ago.

"I've been on their board since I was a junior," he said. "They always liked me a lot, but I committed to Auburn early. That kind of delayed everything, because I was committed so early."

Though Region's never visited Tigertown, he's heard good things.

"I know a student at Clemson," he said. "She's from Cullman. She says likes it. I'm just looking forward to getting up there and seeing what Clemson has to offer me and my family.

"I'm so blessed to have an offer from a great program like Clemson. Hopefully, everything works out well and I like my visit, which I think I will."

Region is ranked as the No. 19 guard in the class of 2011.
