It will be the first visit to Tigertown for Woodlawn High School-Magnet (Birmingham) junior Cassanova McKinzy.

"I just want to see the campus, see the environment there, meet the coaches," he recently told CUTigers.

McKinzy admitted that he doesn't know much about Clemson, but he's curious.

"I have a lot of interest in them. I've looked at the depth chart for the position that I play," he said.

He's received offers from Alabama, Auburn and Arkansas State. Mississippi State and LSU are also expressing interest.

The outside linebacker shared his favorite schools.

"It's actually Auburn, Alabama and Clemson," he said.

What's gotten him interested in the ACC Tigers?

"It's kind of funny," McKinzy said. "I just like all that orange. I like Dabo Swinney. He's from Birmingham."

The Clemson staff member he hears from the most, defensive backs Charlie Harbison, recruits the state of Alabama.

"He's a pretty cool guy, real cool. He's a good man," McKinzy said.

After missing the first three games of his junior season with an injury, he had 98 tackles, 10 sacks and six forced fumbles.
