The center from Maryville High School (Tenn.) spoke with CUTigers shortly after his trip to Tigertown, the first one he's made since committing last month.

"It was pretty good. Coach Swinney pulled me back into his office and I got to talk to a lot of the coaches," Guillermo said. "We got to talk about me graduating early, because I talked to them about it, before I got up there.

"We talked more about it in depth and all the possibilities that it would open up. It was nice."

In fact, Guillermo is certain about the direction he would like to take.

"I know I've already got my mind set to I want to graduate early," he said. "It's really a decision that has to go with my family."

Guillermo said the highlight of his visit was the time he spent with the Clemson coaching staff, including the one-on-one with offensive line coach Robbie Caldwell.

"I get more excited every time I go there. Now, I just get more excited, just because I'm committed there. The whole day was great," he said.

The junior also spent time with a pair of offensive line prospects that were also in for Junior Day.

"I got to talk a bunch of the guys that are getting pretty heavily recruited, like Oliver Jones and Patrick Destefano," Guillermo said. "Just getting to talk to those guys, it's pretty fun.

"With me being the first guy to commit to Clemson, there's kind of a leadership role in helping recruit."
