ROEBUCK, S.C. - CUTigers.com talks with Dorman High School head coach Dave Gutshall about his next big-time prospect.

Gutshall has coached plenty of major college talent during his tenure at Dorman, including a pair of Clemson signees this past February in Charone Peake and Adam Humphries.

Right now, offensive lineman Patrick Destefano is garnering plenty of attention from college recruiters.

The following is a transcript of Friday afternoon's on location interview with Gutshall:

Surely Patrick's recruitment has brought lots of attention to the school, like you've had in the past. Is there anything different with him?
Gutshall: We've been real fortunate. Patrick, I believe everybody in the SEC and ACC has offered him. Notre Dame was here today. They've offered. Stanford is supposed to fly in Tuesday. They've offered. National attention, everybody's here. We've been going through that the last couple of years. That's great. It's good for our program. It's exciting for our kids to be out there and see all these people around.

His offers kind of speak for themselves, but what kind of a player his he on the field?
Gutshall: He's a big kid. He's got a big-time motor him. He plays hard. He loves the game of football. Football is everything to Patrick. He comes from a football family, which helps. He's in one of those situations, he can't [practice] today and he's just dying today. Hopefully he'll be able to go a little bit next week.

Away from the field, what kind of a person is he?
Gutshall: He's a top notch guy. At one time, I don't know if he still is or not, he was in the top-20 of his class of over 800. He has a 4.8 grade point average. He's the full package. Academically, he's making a B right now in an advanced placement course. I don't know that he's ever made a B. He may have an A now. He's a great student. Loves the weight room. There are no negatives about Patrick.
