Tigers offer 2013 QB

Brice Ramsey

On Friday afternoon, Clemson offered one of the top 2013 quarterbacks in the state of Georgia, if not the country. Which coach made the offer? Who's next? And what will the sophomore quarterback do this summer?

Clemson wide receivers coach/recruiting coordinator Jeff Scott, who stopped by Camden County High School (Kingsland, Ga.) to watch Brice Ramsey practice, extended the offer.

"It was a surprise really, because they just came down there. Most teams want to take home film. They said they saw a lot of film on me and had been watching me for a while," Ramsey told CUTigers.com. "The quarterback coach and head coach gave him the green light to offer me."

The 6-foot-3, 197-pound rising junior received his first offer earlier this month from Georgia.

Notre Dame, Florida State, Alabama, Florida, N.C. State and UCF were a few of the schools that also stopped by this past week.

Ramsey believes the third offer will come later this summer.

"A lot of schools want to see me throw live. Whatever school I go to first in the summer, for a one-day, will be my first offer, probably," he said.

Plans for the summer have already started to take shape.

"I'm going to go out to Clemson, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, South Carolina and Tennessee," Ramsey said.

Though he's yet to start thinking about what schools he favors, Ramsey knows what to look for at the next level.

"I'm interested in the education. Early playing time—things like that," he said.

Ramsey claimed top quarterback honors at the Orlando MVP camp this past February.
