Now a rising senior at Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School, Aiken did not attend this year’s camp hoping to make an impression.

“I’ve been coming up there for a while. It’s just something that you’re used to now,” he told CUTigers.com on Thursday.

Aiken arrived to Clemson Tuesday and spent time with a pair of former Bamberg defensive ends, Da'Quan Bowers and Ricky Sapp. Aiken participated in the Wednesday morning session then sat out the afternoon.

For a solid portion of Wednesday afternoon, Aiken was spotted with Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney.

“He was basically saying they can offer me a lot of things at any other school. One thing he can offer me, he’s going to make sure I get my degree,” Aiken said.

He enjoyed working out with first-year Clemson defensive ends coach Marion Hobby.

“It felt good. It kind of makes you see what the next level is going to be like,” Aiken said.

The 6-foot-3, 250-pound defensive end has already camped at Tennessee this summer. He’s yet to make plans for any other camp stops or visits.

Aiken, the No. 12 defensive end in the class of 2012, according to Scout.com, offered no list of favorites.

He had 106 tackles, 36 for a loss with 13 sacks as a junior.

As a sophomore, Aiken registered 44 tackles (28 solo tackles), eight tackles for loss and three sacks.
