Adonis Filer
, the No. 28 point guard in the nation, according to
Scout.com
, will make his first visit to Clemson the weekend of Oct. 21-23.
Currently enrolled at Notre Dame Prep Academy in Flitchburg, Mass., Filer transferred from Mount Carmel High School in Chicago to Bishop Noll High in Hammond, Ind. for his senior season.
At Mount Carmel, he averaged 14.2 points, handed 4.5 assists and had 1.3 steals and was a Chicago Catholic League first-team selection.
At Bishop Noll, he averaged 18 points, seven assists and three steals per game.
Contact with Clemson started soon thereafter.
"Right after my high school career ended, right after my state championship game. It was probably about a month, and they started calling me," Filer recently told

.
Upon completion of his high school career, Filer enrolled at Notre Dame Prep for academics. Now, he's considering Clemson, Utah, Tennessee, Purdue and Pittsburgh.

All but the Panthers have offered -- the Tigers and Utes are showing the most interest.
Filer visited Utah last weekend and will head to Tennessee this weekend.
While on his official to Clemson, there are several areas the
Scout.com
three-star wants to check out.
"Most of all, who I'm going to be playing with for the next couple of years while I'm there," he said. "The environment, how the students are and how the rest of the coaching staff is and how the facilities [are] -- where I'm going to be sleeping at and where I'm going to be playing basketball at every day -- that's going to be the main thing that I'm looking for."
What all does he know about Clemson?
"I know they've been in the tournament the last few years, so I know that's never a bad thing. I know Brad is a good coach, coach Brownell is a good coach. I've been hearing a lot of good things about him," Filer said.
A decision will be made by December, but he won't sign until the spring.
For Clemson, associate head coach
Rick Ray
serves as the primary recruiter.
