Jones makes it No. 2 on Wednesday

Clemson added its second commitment of the day when former Oklahoma linebacker Kellen Jones pulled the trigger on Wednesday night.

LB Kellen Jones Profile

The rising sophomore, who played in 12 games at Oklahoma last fall, took an official visit to Clemson earlier this month.

"It was good. I really liked it. I liked Howard's Rock. The stadium was beautiful. I loved the campus, it's a beautiful campus," Jones said in the post-official visit interview with CUTigers. "Coach [Dabo] Swinney is a great guy. I liked him as a man, outside of coaching. I really liked everything about Clemson. There wasn't anything negative to speak of at all."

In his only year at Oklahoma, Jones played under current Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables.

Jones also made an official visit to Purdue.

He will sit out the 2012 season then have three years of eligibility to play. Recommended Stories
