Tigers land big commitment
LB Dorian O'Daniel Profile Dorian O'Daniel, the No. 11 outside linebacker prospect in the country, has committed to Clemson. "I got that good feeling. I realized this was where I needed to be. I've been to a couple of schools and didn't get that same feeling I got from Clemson. Deep down in my heart I knew it was the place to be," he told CUTigers on Saturday night. O'Daniel hadn't planned to commit while visiting Clemson this weekend with his mom. "It was a possibility, but it really wasn't on my to-do list. During the spring game, I talked it over with my mom," he said. Also a visitor for the previous Junior Day, O'Daniel was impressed with what he saw at the spring game. "It was intense. I saw the fan-base. The stadium was packed, for it to be a spring game," he said. "It's something to look forward to during my freshman year coming in." O'Daniel selected Clemson over offers from many other schools, including Michigan and Tennessee. Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables started to recruit O'Daniel while he was still on staff at Oklahoma. Jeff Scott serves as O'Daniel's primary recruiter for the Tigers. "They're all genuine, nice people. We built a relationship that really sold it," O'Daniel said.
