NC WR spends weekend in Clemson
It was the first-time Millbrook High School junior wide receiver Corey Cooper visited the Clemson campus.
"I got to see the football facilities, basically the whole campus, everything. That was pretty cool," he said in an interview with CUTigers.
Before the visit, Cooper had heard plenty of good reviews about Clemson.
"I have a few recruits that I talk to. Tyquan Lewis, he's visited Clemson several times, and he told me some great things, said it was pretty cool up there," Cooper said. "Finally, I got to see the campus for myself this weekend. I really loved it. I really loved the campus. I loved how it's a small town."
The 6-foot, 185-pound wide receiver has close to 15 offers, including North Carolina, N.C. State, South Carolina, Tennessee and Wake Forest.
Clemson is still evaluating him.
"They haven't offered yet, but they said that I have to come to camp. Hopefully, they offer at camp. They really like my highlight film," Cooper said. "The coaches, coach [Robbie] Caldwell and coach [Jeff] Scott are coming to my high school, either this week or next week to my high school."
Right now, he has a favorite.
"The whole environment, the academics really stood out at South Carolina. I just loved it," Cooper said.
A decision will be announced before his senior season.
As a junior, Cooper had 400 yards receiving and six touchdowns.
