CENTRAL, S.C. - D.J. Greenlee knows exactly what you may be thinking -- he was offered by Clemson because his dad’s on the Tigers’ strength and conditioning staff.

Guess what?
He doesn’t care what you think.
“It’s been hard. I can tell who’s thinking this is all because of my dad, but I’m working hard by myself, doing what I’ve got to do,” Greenlee told
CUTigers
at Daniel High School in a recent interview.
In fact, he uses that as motivation.
“It’s just more fuel to my success. I’m just going to keep working. It doesn’t put me down. I’m just going to keep working,” Greenlee said.
Scout.com
lists Greenlee as the No. 80 outside linebacker in the class of 2013. And he’s rated as a three-star prospect.
It has not been determined which position he’ll play at Clemson.
“I just want to go where I can play. It doesn’t matter to me. I want to play,” Greenlee said.
At Daniel this season, he’ll play tight end, wide receiver and linebacker. He already has a couple of goals in mind for this fall.
“I want to get at least 110 tackles and 200 yards at tight end,” Greenlee said.
Daniel head coach
Randy Robinson
said Greenlee has dropped his weight down to 185 this spring, because of track.
“He’s just long and athletic,” Robinson said. “We’re going to work him some at tight end. I know Clemson is wavering about where they’re going to play him.
“He started at outside linebacker every game. He’s physical. He’s been a ball player for us.”
As a junior, Greenlee had 91 tackles, two interceptions and four fumble recoveries.
