Sleeper OL in Columbia area
Earlier this month, Austin Turner participated in the Charlotte Nike Football Training Camp. There, CUTigers spoke with the rising senior.
"I've heard from Coastal Carolina, Clemson, Auburn and Tennessee," he said.
Last fall, Turner visited Clemson for a game. He's also visited Auburn and Tennessee.
The Tigers are among the schools that continue to show interest.
"It's kind of medium right now," Turner said. "Nothing heavy yet, but it's there."
North Carolina and Duke have stopped by Lexington High School this spring.
He plans to hit the road later this summer, with hopes of generating some more exposure.
"I'll be attending the Clemson camp, Duke camp, Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee. I'll be at the Coastal camp, a couple of other ones," Turner said.
At 6-foot-2, 285 pounds, the offensive guard ran a 5.28 40-yard dash, and has clocked a 4.98 in the shuttle. He benches 335 and squats 475.
