One of the top running backs in North Carolina's class of 2014 will be in Clemson on Wednesday for the Dabo Swinney Football Camp.

RB Elijah Hood Profile

A solid performance by Charlotte Catholic rising junior Elijah Hood could result in an offer by the Tigers.

It will be his first trip to Clemson.

"Hopefully, I'll just get to meet the coaching staff and everything and see how it feels to be down in Clemson," he told CUTigers earlier this week.

The 6-foot-1, 210-pound prospect lists Clemson among his four favorites.

"I know it's a good school. They're close to home and there are a lot of really good things I've heard about them from everybody I know that's been there," Hood said.

Notre Dame, South Carolina and Virginia Tech round out his favorites. He went in-depth about each of school.

Notre Dame: I like the tradition. They're a great school. They have a good education. There's a lot of good things about the school. It's a good school.

Virginia Tech: It's the same thing [as Notre Dame]. It's a good school, a good football program. It's close to home than Notre Dame. That's a bonus.

South Carolina: I like the school. I've been down there before. I could see myself going there. It's a pretty good school. They offer what I want in their education. I already know that. It's just kind of a school that I'm familiar with already. That's why I like them.

Hood plans to visit both North Carolina and South Carolina this summer. Both have offered. So have Duke, East Carolina, Vanderbilt, Virginia and Wake Forest.

As a junior, he rushed for 1,889 yards and 34 touchdowns on 168 carries.
