Included in that group is Mike Tyson, who will play on the post-grad team at Hargrave Military Academy this fall.

"It was cool. The campus, the coaches, everything was cool," Tyson told CUTigers on Sunday.

Rated as a two-star prospect by Scout.com in the class of 2012, Tyson recently picked up an offer from Clemson.

"It's a big offer," he said.

Less than a week after the offer, he was in town for a visit. Tyson was impressed by the Clemson coaching staff.

"They're energetic. They're energized," Tyson said.

Defensive backs coach Charlie Harbison worked him at safety during the camp.

"He's a good coach. He teaches you step by step. He keeps everything simple, shows you how to do it," Tyson said.

As a 2012 signee, he held offers from Maryland, Penn State, Virginia and Virginia Tech. There are no favorites.

"I'm opening my options up. I've opened them all the way up," he said.

Tyson may head to Virginia Tech for a visit later this summer, but he has no other trips planned.

A decision won't be made until later this year.

"Probably during or at the end of my Hargrave season. There is no timeframe," he said.

Tyson had 43 tackles and eight interceptions at Lake Taylor last season.
