C.J. Spiller
set a school record on his 77-yard first quarter punt return touchdown. He became the first player in Clemson history to reach pay dirt five different ways [rushing, receiving, kick return, punt return and passing].
Richard Jackson made six field goals in Clemson’s 25-7 win over Boston College.
Spiller rushed for a game-high 77 yards on 17 carries.
Andre Ellington
had 45 on nine carries.
The Tigers’ defense allowed only 54 yards and four first-downs.
The Stakes
On the heels of an emotional Thursday night loss at Georgia Tech, Clemson was in need of a rebound win over Boston College. On the schedule after the B.C. game was TCU and a trip to Maryland.
