Two at the top for Dye

Two schools are standing out to four-star running back Tyshon Dye, who was on Clemson's campus earlier this month during the Dabo Swinney Football Camp.

RB Tyshon Dye Profile

The Elbert County High School [Elberton, Ga.] four-star running back was on Clemson's campus with his brother [2014 DB Marquice Dye], a teammate [2015 DT Ken Allen] and his mother.

"I like Clemson. I like that it's a small town, like where I'm from. I like that it's close to home," Dye told CUTigers recently. "I like the coaches. The coaches are pretty cool and they're straight forward with me. They went over everything and let me know how it is.

"They told me I was the guy that they want, but if it comes down to it, if they can get somebody they're recruiting, they won't turn him down."

Running backs coach Tony Elliott serves as Dye's primary recruiter for Clemson.

"It's a pretty good relationship with coach Elliott," Dye said.

Tennessee hosted Dye earlier this summer. He hopes to take another trip to Auburn before the summer is over.

A decision could be made sometime during his senior season.

"It's Clemson, Auburn and probably Tennessee right now," Dye said.

He added, "Clemson and Auburn are at the top and Tennessee is third."

As a junior, Dye rushed for 1,500 yards and 20 touchdowns.
