Four-star PF likes two

There are a pair of schools that are currently sticking out to four-star Jakeenan Gant, who is rated as the No. 11 power forward in the 2014 class.

The Effingham County [Springfield, Ga.] junior has received offers from Clemson, Ole Miss, Georgia, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Alabama, George Mason and Georgia Southern.

He visited Clemson last summer for the Brad Brownell Elite Camp.

"It's big. I liked it. I like Clemson. They have pretty colors," Gant told CUTigers in a recent interview.

Clemson assistant Earl Grant runs the point for Clemson on the recruitment of Gant.

"He tells me it's a good school, athletics-wise, and it's where I'm supposed to be," Gant said. "He's a cool dude. He's a cool coach."

Aside from Clemson, Gant's only other campus visit was to Georgia.

"Georgia and Clemson."

What sticks out about the Dawgs?

"I like the coaches and red is my favorite color."

As a sophomore, Gant averaged 16 points, 9.5 rebounds and seven blocks.
