Before Adams does anything, he and his Dooly County High School teammates will open the 2012 campaign next Friday with a showdown against Macon County.

The five-star defensive tackle has big plans for his senior season.

"I want my team to win the state championship, to be the best defense in the region and the best defense in the state, have the best offense and for us to win region and go undefeated," he recently told CUTigers.

"The goal for me is to have over 100 tackles, at least five touchdowns, a couple of forced fumbles, at least 20 sacks."

Adams knows that he wants to take official visits to Oregon, USC and LSU. Outside of those three visits, he's unsure which schools will host him on campus this fall.

Clemson and Auburn are two schools that Adams still has his eye on. He put on his analyst hat and broke down the rubber match in the Georgia Dome.

"I think it's going to be a good game," he said. "Clemson has a great offense -- I think they're balanced. Clemson is looking like their defense is going to be good this year. If their defense is good, they're going to be great.

"If Auburn can stop [Clemson's] offense, they're probably going to win the game."

When asked about his interest in the two schools, he added, "I still like them, but I like a lot of other schools."

Once his season comes to a close, he'll unveil a list of six favorites.

An announcement will be made on signing day.

As a junior, Adams had 84 tackles, 45 tackles for loss and 10 sacks.
