CLEMSON - Milton Jennings and Devin Booker, the only seniors on Clemson's roster, combined for 26…
Clemson to host PC
WHERE: Littlejohn Coliseum (10,000) - Clemson, S.C.
WHEN: Monday, November 12 (7 p.m.)
TV: ESPN3 (Darren Goldwater, Nate Ross)
In the last meeting between the two schools, Milton Jennings was a freshman playing the first minutes of his college career. He finished the night with five points and three rebounds.
Now, three years later, Jennings has five months left in his college career.
"I don't want it to end," he said. "This is my last year. It's like no holds barred. I don't want to make mistakes and stuff. I don't look at it any different than any season. It's just going out and looking to get some wins."
The senior from Summerville, who has averaged 7 points and 4.4 rebounds per game during his career, has seen a steady improvement in production from one season to the next.
Jennings and Devin Booker, the only two players on Brad Brownell's squad with more than one season of college experience; will be leaned upon heavily in the 2012-13 season.
Despite the team's youth -- 10 freshmen and sophomores -- Jennings has a positive outlook.
"My expectation is that we're going to do really good and get back to the NCAA Tournament this year. Myself and Book, that's our biggest goal, the biggest goal, to get back there," Jennings said. "We've been there two out of the three years we've been here. We're hoping to go three out of the four.
"I would say that the freshmen are looking to come into play. Me and Book are looking to make a bunch of the baskets and keep those guys going."
Though Jennings and Booker are the only two players that aren't sophomores or younger, they're not the only two with NCAA Tournament experience.
Damarcus Harrison scored 12 points in BYU's come from behind victory against Iona in last year's tournament.
"I think I can bring experience to [the team], just from playing in the NCAA [tournament]," he said. "But it's a team game."
After experiencing it in his first two seasons, Jennings badly wants his team to return to that March stage.
"It stuck with us the whole summer, especially me and Book, and the five sophomores," he said. "The freshmen, they don't have a sense of that, but they got it through us in the workouts and stuff, because it's what we talk about."
That journey officially kicks off on Monday night with PC.
Clemson leads the all-time series, 55-18-1 and the Tigers have won the last six contests in the series, all since the 1972-73 season.
