This junior offensive tackle from North Carolina has already picked up a number of ACC offers. He visited Clemson last weekend.

OT Trip McNeill Profile

It was the second time this season that Davie County High School [Mocksville, N.C.] junior Trip McNeill visited Clemson. His first trip was in September for the Furman game.

Saturday's stop in Clemson for the South Carolina game was a good one.

"There were times when I couldn't talk to my dad right beside me, I couldn't hear him," McNeill told CUTigers earlier this week.

The experience in Death Valley wasn't totally perfect.

"It was cold," McNeill said.

But that didn't ruin the impression that was left on him.

"Everyone pretty much stayed until the end. That kind of surprised me," McNeill said. "Normally, no matter what the game is like, people leave at halftime and there are a lot of seats in the stands. It stayed full."

Offensive line coach Robbie Caldwell and recruiter of record Danny Pearman spoke with McNeill while he was on campus.

"[Caldwell] just said he's been watching some film on me from my games, said I was looking good, glad I haven't been putting on any weight," McNeill said.

Aside from the Clemson trips, he visited Virginia, Duke, UNC, N.C. State and Wake Forest.

The Blue Devils, Tar Heels, Wolfpack, Cavaliers and Demon Deacons have offered. So has East Carolina.

"It still seems pretty early in this and I'm trying to weigh out everything that I've gotten," McNeill said.
