After playing big roles in Clemson’s 40-35 Orange Bowl win over Ohio State, Bashaud Breeland and Martavis Bryant will both turn pro.

Breeland, a redshirt junior from Allendale-Fairfax High School, confirmed to CUTigers on Sunday afternoon that he would not return to Clemson for 2014.

Bryant also acknowledged that his two-touchdown performance against the Buckeyes would be his last appearance as a Tiger. Many suspected that it would be, long before the game.

Among the plays made by Breeland in the Orange Bowl was a fourth quarter strip sack of Braxton Miller, which led to the go-ahead touchdown pass from Tajh Boyd to Stanton Seckinger. Breeland finished the season with 70 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, four interceptions and 13 pass breakups.

The recipient of Boyd’s second and fourth touchdown passes of the Orange Bowl, Bryant finished his final campaign with 42 catches for 828 yards and seven touchdowns.

While there has been no formal confirmation by CUTigers on what Sammy Watkins will do, he’s projected as to also turn pro.

Vic Beasley and Stephone Anthony are both considering leaving early, too. It’s widely believed that Beasley will also declare for the NFL.
