The day before the Dabo Swinney Football Camp kicked off, Clemson's coaches hosted a trio of guests from Niceville High School in Florida.

S Romeo Finley Profile

Romeo Finley, a 2016 safety, was joined by a pair of 2017 prospects, running back/wide receiver Jordan Ginder and running back/wide receiver Deonte Sheffield.

CUTigers spoke to Finley after the trip.

"It was a great visit," he said. "It was worth the little drive it was. It felt like home. I felt like I fit in with the program and how they do their thing.

"I had a good talk with coach Dabo [Swinney] and coach [Chad] Morris."

A three-star prospect, Finley is rated by Scout.com as the No. 20 safety in the class of 2016 and the No. 289 overall prospect in the country. Clemson, along with Florida, Louisville and South Carolina, among others, have offered.

Finley went into detail about the rest of his visit to Tigertown.

"They just talked about how they graduate a lot of people…I also met with the DBs coach [Mike Reed] and we went over film," he said. "Coach Dabo was talking about how they were going to keep in touch and keep looking out for me, keep up with me and stuff like that. All in all, it was a good day."

As a sophomore, he had 60 tackles, one interception and two touchdowns on the offensive side of the ball.
