Sources have confirmed that Terry Don Phillips and Tommy Bowden met Sunday afternoon to discuss a contract extension for the Tigers' head coach.

Sources have confirmed that Clemson athletic director Terry Don Phillips and head football coach Tommy Bowden met Sunday afternoon to discuss a contract extension for the Tigers' head coach. Terms of the extension are believed to be in the 3-4 year range.

According to sources, Tommy Bowden also wants more than just a contract extension. He would also like additional support from athletic administration.

The talks have been said to be going, "good."

Bowden has 4 years remaining on his current 7-year deal that pays him approximately $1.2 million a year.
