Midlothian, Virginia
6-foot-2, 200 pound safety/linebacker prospect Kavell Conner is ready for Friday to get here. “I’m leaving early Friday morning for Clemson. I am bringing my grandfather and my mother. Neither one of them have ever been to Clemson before so they are both very excited,” Conner told CUTigers.com.
Coach Napier has taken over the recruitment of Conner since the departure of Coach Lovett. “I just got off the phone with Coach Napier actually," said Conner. "He was just trying to make sure everything was set. He wanted to make sure I know what time to be there and to see if I had any questions."
When asked if he will take any other official visits, other than his one to Clemson, Connor responded, “No, my only visit will be Clemson. I am firm with Clemson.
“I’m really looking forward to meeting some of the players. I haven’t talked with any of the other recruits yet, so it's all good.”
What position does Conner expect to play for the Tigers? “The coaches tell me they are looking at me to play rover, whip or strong safety,” stated the prize recruit.
“I’m very excited about the visit. I can’t wait to get there,” added Conner.
We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding athlete from Virginia, right up through signing day 2005.
