Bowden Takes to the Air
Tommy Bowden

Posted May 26, 2005

Check out Clemson's head coach on his ride on an F-16 Wednesday.

Bowden stands by an F-16 fighter jet that had a Clemson tiger paw on its tail wing just before he climbed into the cockpit of another F-16 fighter jet Wednesday.

Bowden gives a thumbs up as Air National Guard Staff Sgt. Danny Payne helps him into the cockpit of an F-16 fighter jet.

Bowden takes off with Air National Guard Capt. Rick "Slammer" Noble Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at McEntire Air Base in Eastover, S.C. Bowden flew in the passenger seat of the F-16 fighter jet, fulfilling a longtime ambition to feel like a Top Gun pilot.
