Tigers Working Committed RB
6-0, 215 pound running back prospect Anthony Allen has led Jesuit High to a 7-0 record this season. Last year, the talented running back had 256 carries for 1,491 yards and 20 touchdowns. And yes, Clemson is making a hard push to convince Allen that he should be playing in the ACC, as opposed to the Big East. When reached by telephone earlier this week, Allen told CUTigers.com, "I am looking at Clemson. They are recruiting me real hard right now." The Tigers appear to be in position to at least get an official visit from the Florida standout. "I am still thinking about that," Allen said. "I may take an official visit after the season. I will know for sure at the end of my season. My only other visit will be Louisville." What would it take for the Tigers to pull ahead of Louisville? "If I do go up for the visit I will just want to see if I feel at home. Clemson has a great football tradition. I know that. Death Valley is one of the best stadiums in the country," Allen said. "I want to see how the environment is. I want to see how the coaches treat the players." Louisville may be a long way from Florida, but one of the reasons Allen committed to the Cardinals is that his family would be able to see him play. "Actually almost all of my family lives an hours away in Cincinnati," stated Allen. "So that was a big reason I went ahead and committed." Clemson assistant coach Marion Hobby is recruiting Jesuit High standout for the Tigers. "He is a really cool guy. He is trying to get me up there for a visit," said Allen. We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding running back from Florida, right up through signing day.
