SC Kicker Readies for Official Visit

Clemson verbal commitment Richard Jackson anticipates being hosted by Jad Dean this weekend.

Like many of the Tigers' verbal commitments, Riverside PK Richard Jackson is looking forward to the weekend ahead.

"I am. Mainly just looking forward to getting to know the team and the guys coming in with me. I want to get to know everyone. It should be a good experience," Jackson told CUTigers.com about his upcoming official visit to Clemson.

"I have an exam Friday morning. I am leaving after that will get up to Clemson mid-afternoon."

Who will be hosting Jackson this weekend? "I think my host is Jad Dean. We have talked a good bit lately and gotten to know each other," he responded.

The Shrine Bowl kicker is also looking forward to seeing some of his teammates. "I got to know some of my teammates at the Shrine Bowl. I look forward to getting to know them better this weekend.

One player Jackson will be keeping a close eye on is Orangeburg-Wilkinson's Jamal Medlin. "I will work on Jamal this weekend," stated Jackson. "But overall, I am just looking forward to getting around the team and the environment. I want to learn more about the team.

"Being around the campus a lot has been good. I think this weekend I will get to have a visit with some of the professors in the major I am looking at. I want to major in Political Science."
