CLEMSON – The doctors with the Clemson baseball team are doing everything possible to try and help get right fielder Travis Storrer back on the field for this weekend's Super Regional. However, it may not be enough.

While it was known that the media and public that the senior chipped a small bone in his left foot, CUTigers.com has learned that Storrer also has a small crack in a bone toward the front of his foot.

Storrer’s availability for this weekend is doubtful and the chances of him playing in the College World Series should the Tigers advance, is “50-50 at best,” an official with the team said.

Storrer, however, is determined to get on the field, or at the very least, inside the batter’s box.

“I wouldn’t say this weekend is out at all,” he said, while still wearing his boot cast. “I could have a limited role.”

Storrer said doctors have taken a mold of the bottom of his foot and will place it inside his cleat to try and give him more stability. He also said the cast is slated to come off Wednesday.

The only time he has pain is when he pushes off to run or when it twists slightly. Considering he’s a baseball player, those types of movements are very common.

Starting Rotation
Pitcher Jason Berken, who is still looking for his first-ever postseason win, will get the start Friday afternoon against Oral Roberts in the first game of a best-of-three series.

Stephen Faris starts Saturday and Josh Cribb will start Sunday if there is a third game.
