Penn State Commitment Visits Clemson
DE Kevion Latham Profile Greensboro (N.C.) Page defensive end Kevion Latham visited Death Valley for the first time ever on Saturday and after Clemson's 52-7 win over North Carolina, there's little doubt he came away very impressed. "It was great. It was real fun. I had never been there before. It was nice to know they had all that down there. I didn't know how nice it was down there," Latham told CUTigers.com. "They have nice facilities. The stadium was so big. All of the coaches were nice also." The talented defender traveled to Death Valley with several of his teammates and one of his coaches Saturday. "I went down with one of my coaches," he said. "He used to coach C.J. Gaddis. He is real cool with a lot of the players down there at Clemson." When asked if he is still firm with his commitment to Penn State, Latham responded, "I stand by it. I just want to see what some other schools have to make sure. I am also going to visit Georgia Tech, California, Oregon, North Carolina and of course Penn State." Those plans could change if the Tigers join the offer list for the talented defensive end. "I talked to coach Rumph. They are having a recruiting meeting this week. He said he was going to see if they can offer. If Clemson offers a scholarship, I would take an official visit to Clemson," Latham said. What would it take for another school to pull even with Penn State? "I don't know," he responded. "They will just have to show me what they have. First of all they will need to have some good academics. Hopefully it will be a place where I can play."
