One of the top offensive linemen on the board for the Tigers in the 2007 recruiting class is Landon Walker. Walker, along with four other prospects, just concluded his official visit to Clemson on Friday. Read about his trip and more in another recruiting update!

How did you enjoy the official visit to Clemson?
Landon Walker: It was great. I enjoyed it a lot.

What was the highlight of the visit?
Landon Walker: I guess it was just touring the facilities. It was also talking to coach Bowden again. I also enjoyed just seeing the surroundings.

How would you rate the visit on scale of 1 to 10?
Landon Walker: I would give the visit a 10.

Who was your player host during the visit?
Landon Walker: My host was Nathan Bennett. He is a great guy. We get along good. He gave me some tips. He told me how to handle stuff. He is a great guy. I really think he will make it in the draft. He told me to keep in touch.

What did you do Thursday night after the visit to coach Bowden's house for desert?
Landon Walker: We just went out. He showed me around. He introduced me to some of the players.

Did you work hard to convince Gronkowski to come to Clemson?
Landon Walker: We worked him pretty hard. I didn't over do it or anything. He seems interested. I think he is 50/50 still. Hopefully we will get him. He would be a good weapon to have.

What did the coaches tell you during the visit?
Landon Walker: Coach Scott just emphasized how important it was for me to come in January. He told me it is just about being focused. He knows I am responsible. He was just giving me the talks. He told me how he will work me in the spring. He told me how much work I will get in the spring. He said the opportunity will be there for me. I just have to take advantage of it.

When will you report to Clemson?
Landon Walker: I am going up on January 7th I believe.

What kind of relationship do you have with your future roommates?
Landon Walker: We know each other well now. I have developed some friendships that will hopefully last a lifetime.
