Shrine Bowl: Walker Working Ryan Houston

ROEBUCK, S.C. - It's been a familiar theme for the nine Clemson commitments playing in this year's Shrine Bowl ... recruiting. CUTigers.com caught up with one of those commitments, East Wilkes' Landon Walker to get his thoughts on what is transpiring this week on the practice fields of Dorman High School.

OL Landon Walker Profile

How did you enjoy your first day of Shrine Bowl practice?
Walker: It felt great. I learned a lot of new plays and everything. It felt good to get comfortable with the offense. I think today will be a lot better day. We have the offense in our minds.

What's it been like playing with so many of your future teammates this week?
Walker: It is a great feeling. It is going to be fun. It will be fun to see how good everyone is. I knew they were good but this week I get to see it in person. It is good to know the future at Clemson is bright.

Have you been recruiting Ryan Houston this week?
Walker: Yeah, I am talking with him. We are buddying up this week. I am trying to get him.

Have you seen the South Carolina players much this week?
Walker: We are separated pretty much but we run into them in the halls. I will run into Willy every now and then and say something smart to him.

What are your goals for Saturday?
Walker: I want to play the best of my ability. I want to win the game of course. I want to do everything I can to win and just give it my best.
