DT Sam Hammond Profile

Union High School standout Sam Hammond says when it comes to recruiting, even though he's visiting South Carolina this weekend for the Garnet and Black game, Clemson is still his top school.

"I don't think I am going to the spring game at Clemson," he said. "But I am planning to go to South Carolina this Saturday for their spring game. Clemson is still my leader though right now."

Several other SEC schools received visits from Hammond in March.

"Well I haven't been any where the past few weeks," he said. "But I visited Tennessee and Georgia last month.

"I am not sure when I will be ready to commit or anything. It will be sometime during the next season. I am not sure if I will go to any summer camps or not. I haven't decided on that yet."

What team is recruiting Hammond the hardest right now?

"That would be Clemson," replied Hammond.

The talented defender also said he plans to stay off the road for a while after his next trip to Columbia.

"I don't have any other visits planned. I am going to take it easy for a while," added Hammond.
