CB Xavier Brewer Profile

The Clemson coaching staff picked up another big verbal commitment earlier today when cornerback Xavier Brewer, one of the top players in the south at his position, committed to the Tigers.

Brewer, who chose Clemson over offers from Georgia, Auburn, LSU, Florida and Miami, is the teammate of current Clemson commitment QB Kyle Parker.

"The big thing is it was the place where I felt the most comfortable," Brewer said. "Plus I think I fit in with their schemes pretty well. Overall it's just a good fit for me."

Brewer visited Clemson for the spring game in mid-April.

During his junior season, he had over 70 tackles with six interceptions.

Brewer's main recruiter to Clemson is wide receivers coach Dabo Swinney.

CUTigers.com will have more on this breaking story Thursday afternoon.
