VT Commit Looking Around?
The Clemson Tigers recently offered one of the top safeties in North Carolina, Lorenzo Williams.
"Clemson offered me a few weeks ago. They sent me an offer in the mail," said Williams. "Right now you can say I am still committed to Virginia Tech. I am firm.
"I might take some other visits. I am not sure yet."
The prize recruit has helped lead Westover High (N.C.) to a good start this season.
"My teammates are really stepping up. We are 2-2 at the moment. The season is going well.
"So far on the year I have 25 tackles, three catches, two sacks, a blocked field goal and one interception."
Williams said he is planning multiple visits to Blacksburg, Va. this fall.
"I haven't been up there yet," he said. "I am planning on getting up there for some games. I may go up there when they play North Carolina, Florida State, Miami and Boston College."
As a junior, Williams played cornerback, safety, wide receiver, quarterback, kick returner, and punter for Fayetteville (N.C.) Westover. He totaled 68 tackles and caught 15 passes for 270 yards.
He currently holds offers from Clemson, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and Virginia among others.
