OL Xavier Nixon Profile 6-6, 285 pound offensive line prospect Xavier Nixon, the nation's No. 1 offensive tackle according to Scout.com, spent his spring break checking three top football programs. “I went to Tennessee, Ohio State and West Virginia. I visited them during spring break,” said Nixon in a recent interview with CUTigers.com. What did he think about each visit? Tennessee: “I felt real comfortable with the coaching staff. I really liked the campus.” Ohio State: “I liked that the best of all three visits. I just felt comfortable there.” West Virginia: “There wasn’t a lot going on because most of the players and staff were gone for spring break. I still enjoyed myself.” The prize recruit will take a break for a few weeks, but the visit tour will pickup again next month. “I don’t have any plans for next weekend. I will probably take a tour of the South next month. I will go see Miami, Florida, LSU, Florida State and Alabama,” said Nixon. When will the nation’s top offensive tackle narrow the field? “I will have it down to a top ten by the end of spring,” replied Nixon. “It is too early to say right now." Clemson assistant coach Chris Rumph is recruiting the top junior for the Tigers. |
