CLEMSON - Check out images from Coach Purnell's press conference Tuesday, including pictures of Clemson's freshmen class.
Men's basketball coach Oliver Purnell and his wife, Vicky Purnell, announced Wednesday they will be holding a preseason fundraiser in an effort to support Coaches vs. Cancer, a partner of the American Cancer Society on Oct. 7.
Also today, Clemson introduced four freshmen basketball players. Pictured here is freshman center Catalin "Bobo" Baichu. Baichu, 7-1, was the No. 14 center in the country and a four-star prospect according to Scout.com.
Tanner Smith was a three-star prospect according to Scout.com and will likely play both the small forward and shooting guard positions. He also spent a good bit of time in AAU as a point guard.
Andre Young comes to Clemson after a sensational high school career that allowed him to end up as Scout.com's No. 6 point guard in the nation and a four-star prospect. Young, who is only 5-feet-9 inches tall can dunk a basketball and is expected to backup sophomore Demontez Stitt this coming season.
North Augusta's Bryan Narcisse is a strong defender who averaged over 14 points a game during his senior season. He orginally committed to Western Kentucky before deciding to play at Clemson after WKU head coach Darrin Horn left for South Carolina.
