CHESTER, S.C. - Two of the state's top prospects for the class of 2009 had been talking about it for weeks. Finally Tuesday night, it happened. Clemson commitment Devonte Holloman sits down to interview his teammate Stephon Gilmore.

South Pointe High School played in the Chester Jamboree Tuesday evening against three teams- Marlboro County, Byrnes and Chester.

Naturally, with so many FBS prospects in one place, CUTigers.com was there to check out the action.

Oddly enough, one of the highlights of the night occurred after South Pointe finished up their evening when the nation's No. 2 safety and Clemson verbal commitment Devonte Holloman grabbed the microphone and asked to interview one of the top uncommitted prospects in South Carolina- teammate Stephon Gilmore.

How did ya'll do out there today?
Gilmore: We did good. We made a couple of mistakes, but we learned from them and I think we did a great job as the day went on.

If there was one group of players that you need to work on what would you say?
Gilmore: I think we need to work on the offensive line a little bit more.

How is recruiting going?
Gilmore: Recruiting is going good. I narrowed it down to five schools so far. Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, Clemson and Florida State.

Does the commitment of your teammates Charles Holmes or Devonte Holloman have any effect on your decision?
Gilmore: Yeah it does. Me and Charles are close friends and me and Devonte are close friends so we will see what happens.

Did you enjoy your visit to Clemson on Sunday?
Gilmore: Yeah I enjoyed it. I got to see how I could come in and fit on the team. I got to talk with the coaches a little bit more and get to know them a little bit more so it was a great trip.

Could you see yourself in a Tiger uniform?
Gilmore: Yeah I can. I can, eventually.
