Nation's No. 21 TE Visiting Clemson

One of the top uncommitted tight ends in the nation has two more visits planned in the next two weeks- one to Clemson and one to Georgia.

TE Terrell Mitchell Profile

6-5, 210 pound tight end prospect Terrell Mitchell will take an official visit to Clemson next weekend.

"Yes sir I will visit Clemson," he told CUTigers.com in a recent interview. "I am going to Clemson next weekend. I am looking forward to the visit.

"I already visited Kentucky too and I am going to visit Georgia on Jan. 16. I don't have an offer from Georgia yet but I'm still visiting. They are still waiting on my test scores.

"I don't have any other visits planned after that right now."

What are the chances that Terrell pulls the trigger on a commitment to the Tigers during the visit?

"I have no idea. I will have to see how things go," replied Mitchell.

Mitchell spoke further with CUTigers.com about what he's looking for in a school.

"I want to go where they have a good business school," he said. "I know the Clemson business school is ranked in the top 10 in the nation. Clemson has a good football team and they pass the ball a lot."

Mitchell's senior stats were indeed impressive- 26 catches for over 500 yards and eight touchdowns.

"I know Clemson likes to use two types of tight ends. They use them mostly for blocking, but they also have a receiving tight end. I could be the second receiving tight end," said Mitchell.

The visit will provide Terrell his first opportunity to speak with Clemson's new head coach- Dabo Swinney.

"I haven't talked to him yet. I am looking forward to talking with him during the visit," said Mitchell.

Clemson assistant coach Ron West is recruiting the Georgia standout for the Tigers.
