Roderic Blunt, son of former Clemson running back Rodney Blunt, was in town this weekend for his official visit.

LB Roderic Blunt Profile

Three-star linebacker Roderic Blunt just wrapped up his official visit to Clemson this weekend, and by all accounts the trip lived up to his expectations.

"Yes it did," he told CUTigers.com. "We had a great time. Everybody at Clemson seemed like family and we really enjoyed it."

While Blunt was not yet offered a scholarship, he's hopeful that a full-ride to Clemson could be on the table in the near future.

"Coach Blackwell is visiting me in two weeks," he said. "I'll know more about [a scholarship] then. We didn't really talk about that a whole lot so we'll see in a couple of weeks"

What were some of the highlights of his trip?

"Just seeing how the players and coaches are," he said. "Everybody is like a family at Clemson. Plus the facilities- like the weightroom and the WestZone."

Junior cornerback Chris Chancellor hosted the talented linebacker on his visit.

"We got along really good," Blunt said. "We had a good time together and he did a good job showing me around campus to see what everything is like."

Next up for the three-star linebacker is a trip to Middle Tennessee and a possible trip to Kansas State.

"I'm not going to make a decision until later on- after I take all of my visits," he added.

Blunt is currently ranked as the No. 43 middle linebacker prospect in the country according to Scout.com.
