Peach state TE takes in Clemson

This tight end from the Peach state visited Clemson recently and talked about his visit with CUTigers.

Gainesville (GA) Riverside Military Academy 2009 tight end Brandon McKinney would gladly accept a Clemson offer if one was extended his way.

"I'm really pulling for Clemson to offer," he said. "In that offense they run the tight ends are real active. That's an offer I'm definitely waiting for."

If offered, the 6-5 250 pound tight end told CUTigers that he would commit to the orange and purple on the spot.

A visitor for last week's 25-7 win over Boston College, McKinney didn't mind sitting through the wet weather and lightning delays. The trip was the first visit to Tigertown on a game day.

His visit also the first he's made since school started. Along with a stop at Dabo Swinney's camp this summer, McKinney camped at N.C. State and Georgia.

"Most likely I'll go to other games this fall. I'm not sure where I will be going though," he said.

The only offer he's received is from Georgia State.

"I'm a little interested in them because it would be their first year and I'd like to be a part of the first team," McKinney said. "I'm still looking and trying to weigh things out."

In two games this year at Riverside Military, he's made 12 catches for 180 yards, including one for a touchdown.

McKinney is a two-star rated prospect by Scout.com and the No. 78 ranked tight end in the country.
