After a brief flirtation with Auburn and Georgia Tech, Darius Robinson is now firm with Clemson.
Clemson commit looking around?
Back in December, Darius Robinson told CUTigers that he would have to give his hometown Georgia Tech some consideration if offered.
That offer came on Saturday.
But as of Monday morning, the Westlake High School cornerback hadn't scheduled a visit.
"Coach (Charles) Kelly--the DB coach--throughout the whole process, even without an offer, he just stayed in contact with me. He was just being a regular guy, not being a recruiter," Robinson said. "I was thinking about giving them a shot just because of the relationship outside of football.
"At the same time, it is at home. Georgia Tech has good academics, not saying I would choose them over Clemson. I'm still committed to Clemson--100 percent."
Robinson wondered why people would get concerned about him visiting other schools.
"If a person feels like I shouldn't visit anywhere else, maybe that school isn't the best for me. I'm not saying it's not, but it does have my concern," he said.
It's also possible that he'd visit Auburn as well.
"With how hard they're recruiting me and how hard they're coming after me, I may just go see what they have to offer," Robinson. "I'm not sure about that, I'll know by mid-week."
Scout.com rates him as a three-star prospect and the No. 32 cornerback in the nation for the class of 2010.
Robinson committed to Clemson in late July and visited Tigertown officially earlier this month.
