Tigers hold commanding lead
LB Desmond Wills Profile CUTigers caught up with Lincoln High School (Ala.) linebacker Desmond Willis recently, who is receiving the most interest from Clemson right now. Wills sports no offers right now, but he's pretty sure where he wants to play at the next level. "If Clemson were to offer me tomorrow, I think I would commit," he said. "I really like Clemson." Tigertown has hosted Wills three times. The first time he visited Clemson, it was for last spring's junior day. Later on in the summer, he participated in Dabo Swinney's camp. Wills' most recent trip was in the fall when he was in for the Virginia game. "Coach (Charlie) Harbison has told me to call him once or twice a week. I talk to him about once a week," he said. His favorites, in order are: Clemson and Auburn, follwed by Alabama and Kentucky. Wills will be heading to Auburn this weekend for junior day. Of course, he plans to attend Clemson's. "I talked to coach Harbison. Junior day (at Clemson) is going to be after national signing day. I'll be going to that too, probably the University of Alabama also." Wills has been encouraged by the principal at Lincoln to check every schools' graduation rates. "You're a student first and an athlete second. I look at the academics and what they have to offer. Then, I look into the coaching staff," Wills said. "Good coaches are hard to find and I love the Clemson coaching staff." As a junior, he led Lincoln in tackles with 113--76 were solo. He also had three sacks.
