Clemson remains the favorite for this in-state junior after he spent Saturday in Tigertown for Junior Day.

Waccamaw High School defensive tackle Jerome Maybank spoke to CUTigers shortly after his visit to Clemson for Junior Day.

Heading into the trip, he wanted to get a better look at Clemson's facilities. Maybank gave a good review of what he noticed at Vickery Hall.

"I like how they teach their players and how they have a mandatory tutoring session. They have the old, little building where they do their studying and get help with their school work," Maybank said.

"I wanted to see the weight room too. I thought it was pretty nice."

He also spent time with offensive tackle/tight ends coach Danny Pearman and head coach Dabo Swinney.

"(Pearman) basically filled me in more about the campus, how the campus life is," Maybank said.

With Swinney, they talked about his recruiting strategy.

"Basically, its how each player goes through an evaluation before they get offered," Maybank said. "He thinks I'll be a big help towards Clemson and help them get where they need to go."

He's yet to put together a schedule for other trips this spring, but does want to take other unofficial visits prior to making a final decision.

And of course, right now, the Tigers lead Maybank's list of favorites.

"It would probably be Clemson, USC and then UNC," he said.
