Clemson wide receiver Jacoby Ford was selected with he 10th pick in the fourth round Saturday.
Ford was the 108th overall selection in the 2010 draft.
He led the team in all major receiving categories this season with 56 receptions for 779 yards and six touchdowns. He also rushed for two touchdowns and returned a punt for six.
Ford is the second player selected from Clemson this year. C.J. Spiller was taken with the ninth overall pick by the Buffalo Bills.
“Ford is an explosive offensive weapon, who can be used in many areas on the football field. He lacks ideal size for a wide receiver, but his quickness and ability to get downfield gives him an edge over most defenders,” Scout.com NFL Draft expert Chris Steuber said.
“Ford has good hands and usually catches the ball cleanly, but he was generally used as a big play threat and rarely had to run precise routes in college.
“He's good in space, has great vision and can make defenders miss, but isn't fluid moving laterally. He's a finesse player and doesn't offer much as a blocker downfield.”
Oakland traded up with Jacksonville to the 108th overall selection to draft Ford.
