Clemson leads for '12 Peach state OL
Joe Harris OG Profile CUTigers spoke to Lithonia High School guard Joe Harris about his experience at the Clemson camp. "It was good. It was something I was looking forward to," he said. "I wasn't disappointed at all." Harris feels good about what he learned while working under the tutelage of offensive guards/center coach Brad Scott. "I learned new techniques about playing on the line—hand movement and I got better footwork while I was up there, too," Harris said. So far, it's been a fairly active summer and he has plans for at least one more camp visit. "Clemson was my first camp. I'm going to the Alabama camp in July. I'm going to try to make the Ole Miss. camp, also…I also went to the Georgia camp," he said. Along with Clemson, he has offers from Minnesota, South Carolina and North Carolina State. The current list of favorite is, "First Clemson and second Alabama. I like Tennessee and Florida." The Tigers are out front because it's home. "Clemson is in my home state. I'm from South Carolina and I would like to go back home to play football or do anything. I want to learn about where I came from," he said. "Clemson is just a home environment for me. I like the way they handle things." Born in Spartanburg, Harris lived in the Upstate for three years. There's lots of interest, too. "They love me. I love them. There's not much I can't ask for." The rising junior isn't ready to commit in the immediate future. "I'm still trying to look at all these other colleges. I'm trying to visit and see what schools are out there for me," Harris said.
