| Finished the season strong, especially from a field goal percentage standpoint...shot just 46 percent for the year, but made 11 of his last 17, including a perfect 5-5 in the ACC Tournament...had 11 points on the 5-5 shooting and pulled in five rebounds in 26 combined minutes in the ACC Tournament against Maryland and North Carolina...started eight games for the year, they came over the last 12 games of the season...seven of the eight starts were either in ACC play or postseason play, so they were important games....his blocked shot total (23) was sixth best in history by a Clemson freshman...four of the five ahead of him were first-round draft choices...joins Andrius Jurkunas as only freshmen to record at least 20 blocks and 30 steals...starter at the end of the season, including two of the three postseason games...a solid defender, he had 33 steals for the season to rank third on the team...averaged a steal every 15.5 minutes, second on the team behind Vernon Hamilton...had at least one steal in eight straight games between Dec. 22 and Jan. 19, even though he averaged just 18 minutes per game during that time. |
