State, the first of three in a row that he started. Bowers had four tackles and a sack against The Citadel, and had four tackles in 37 snaps as a starter against Maryland. He came off the bench for five straight games from the Wake Forest through Duke games. He showed improvement as the season went on; had 29 of his 47 tackles in the last seven games. Bowers had five tackles in 34 snaps against Georgia Tech and played two snaps on offense in a short-yardage situation, he had just one tackle at Boston college, but had a crucial recovered fumble in the second half.
