| Rogers is best at attacking the football north-south. He spent the first two years playing defensive end before moving to linebacker as a junior. He has great length, speed, and athleticism, but is still raw as a backer. He has good feet and nice range, but needs to work on strength, shedding blocks, and dropping back into coverage. He is a raw athlete now, but he has potential. - Chad Simmons |
| Biography: |
| As a junior, Deon Rogers recorded 40 tackles including 14 for loss and 12 sacks. He also recovered one fumble. He says he can bench 285-pounds, squat 420 and claims a 38-inch vertical jump.
Partial senior (7-3) stats: 90 tackles
Rogers reports a 3.3 core GPA. He took the ACT but says he doesn’t know his score. “I forgot it. But I’m qualified.” Rogers plans on taking the SAT in December.
Rogers: “I have good speed and I have feet. I’m very aggressive, but I want to work on my pass drops and find the receiver better.”
