Jamaal Fudge was a second-team cornerback behind All-American Brian Mance in 2002, but he is listed as starting roverback position heading into 2003...enhanced his position with a fine spring, especially in the Spring Game...had five tackles, a tackle for loss, a pass deflection, and a 31-yard interception return in a fine all-around performance on Riggs Field...third on the team in strength pound-for-pound, he has a 7.89 power index in the data released by the Clemson strength training staff in the winter of 2003.
High School
Had 81 tackles and nine interceptions as a defensive back at Ed White High School in Jacksonville, FL...ranked as the 73rd-best cornerback in the nation by Rivals100.com...had three interception returns for touchdowns and four punt returns for touchdowns in his senior year...a Florida Times Union Super 24 selection his senior year...all-state at the AAAAA level in Florida for both his junior and senior season...ranked among the top 75 players in Florida by Florida Times Union...ranked as 56th-best all-around player in Florida by SuperPrep...team MVP as a senior in high school. |
