Gerald McCloud is a aecond-team roverback who worked at wide receiver during his red-shirt freshman year (2002)...received much needed work in the spring at his new position...had six tackles, all first hits, in the Spring Game, tied for second-leading tackler in that game...named the most improved in the weight room for the spring practice of 2003.

Named All-American by SuperPrep and Tom Lemming...all-state, all-area, and all-region as a junior and senior...All-North Florida as a sophomore, junior, and senior...a member of Jacksonville Times Union’s Super 11 and Super 24 teams...an Orlando Sentinel top-75 and Florida Times Union top-50 player in Florida...named to the North-South All-Star Game...rushed for 1,485 yards and 18 touchdowns as senior...added 523 yards and five touchdowns receiving...also had 374 kickoff return yards and three scores...he recorded 104 tackles and six interceptions, returning two for touchdowns...rushed for more than 100 yards in all 12 games. |
